Johnson Bros Mitre 10 have been using Pacsoft's Optemizer POS software in our stores for over 10 years. We thoroughly reviewed all POS systems at the time and found Optemizer to be the best. We have at various times over the years (store expansions, equipment upgrades) had reason to further review our POS systems but Optemizer always come out in front.

The operation at checkout is simple and intuitive. Our staff find it simple to use with very little training. The reporting is excellent and allows us to easily identify areas where we can improve margin or stock turns.

At times Optemizer has presented us with opportunities that we didn't even know we wanted as they were constantly improving and upgrading the software. One that comes to mind was the intoduction of integrated EFTPOS. The external system we had worked perfectly but they convinced us to adopt the integrated system. This has proved to be a major improvement, increasing speed at POS and decreasing the possibility of keying errors. Another area of major improvement is in our goods receipting. Optemizer imports directly, invoices from Mitre 10 and many other supplier, these are then checked against stock received through Palm Pilots (or I believe now iPhones) completely negating the need for manual invoice inventory entry and automatically checking for errors through the exception reports.

While we don't often have to use the help desk, the staff are knowledgeable, attentive and take ownership of your issue.

We could not operate our business without a computerised POS system. I believe Pacsoft's Optemizer is the best.
